Kobus Kuipers elected OSA Fellow
For his outstanding role in his research field, AMOLF group leader professor Kobus Kuipers has been elected as Fellow of the Optical Society of America (OSA). OSA members who have served with distinction in the advancement of optics may be proposed for election to the class of Fellow. Kuipers was recognised 'for pioneering visualization of and obtaining fundamental insight in light propagation through nanostructures in space and time'. Each year, around sixty OSA members are elected Fellow worldwide.
OSA was organized to increase and diffuse the knowledge of optics, pure and applied; to promote the common interests of investigators of optical problems, of designers and of users of optical apparatus of all kinds; and to encourage cooperation among them. The purposes of the Society are scientific, technical and educational.
