ERC Grants
The European Research Council (ERC) works with two grants: Starting Independent Researcher Grants and Advanced Investigator Researcher Grants.
The Starting Independent Researcher Grant is aimed at starting research leaders (2-12 years after PhD) who are ready to start independent research with a good team. The Advanced Grant is aimed at established researchers with an exceptional track record over the past ten years and offers them the opportunity to continue their excellent research. For both Grants the host institute where the researcher will carry out his or her research must be an EU Member State, an Associate State or a Candidate Member State. No limitations apply to the researcher’s nationality. The grants fall under the IDEAS programme of FP7.
