FOM focus group in the news with Majoranas

On the afternoon of Monday 27 February during the APS March meeting in the United States, FOM focus group leader Prof. Leo Kouwenhoven gave a presentation that hit the headlines: the long-expected Majorana particles now seem to have been found. Kouwenhoven, leader of a FOM focus group at Delft University of Technology, did this research within a FOM Industrial Partnership Programme 'Topological quantum computing' in collaboration with Microsoft. Nature published it as breaking news.
