Submitting nominations FOM-Prizes 2013 : deadline 1 April 2013
FOM has four special scientific FOM prizes that are open to various researchers in the field of physics. With these prizes, FOM aims to facilitate research and knowledge utilisation at different scientific levels. The prizes are always presented to the winners during Physics@FOM Veldhoven in January.

Academische Jaarprijs 2013: 100,000 euros for conveying research to a wider audience
Creative researchers who want to make the results of their research known to a wider audience in an innovative manner have the chance to win 100,000 euros this year. Until Tuesday 2 April, teams can register to participate in the 8th edition of the Academische Jaarprijs.

Scientists wanted for NWO Bessensap 2013
NWO, the Association of science journalists in the Netherlands (VWN: de Vereniging van Wetenschapsjournalisten in Nederland) and the Dutch Association of Journalists (NVJ: de Nederlandse Vereniging van Journalisten) jointly organise the yearly event 'Bessensap'. The event brings together about 400 journalists, science communicators and researchers within the theme 'Science meets press'. Bessensap takes place on Monday 10 June 2013 in the Museon in The Hague. By the end of the programme the winners of the NWO Spinoza Prizes will be announced.
