Tenure-trackers sought for 'Computational sciences for energy research' initiative
Today the first call for new tenure-track projects within the public-private initiative 'Computational sciences for energy research' (CSER) of Shell, NWO and FOM was published. This call is part of a joint programme to make a sustainable investment in the computational sciences in the Netherlands in the field of Chemistry (NWO-CW), Earth and Life Sciences (NWO-ALW), Physical Sciences (NWO-EW), Physics (FOM) and Technical Sciences (STW) for which a total a budget of 6.7 million euros is available. This present, first call with a budget of 2.8 million euros is for a maximum of four tenure-track projects in the field of computational sciences, relevant to the energy-related themes within the top sectors Energy and Chemistry. The call is open for all areas, such as computational chemistry and materials science, multiphysics, big data, computational geoscience etc.
Submitting your proposal
Applicants from the Netherlands or abroad are invited to submit a research proposal for a new tenure track position.
Applicants are free to choose the particular host organisation at which to conduct the tenure-tracks research. The deadline for submitting proposals is 15 September 2014.
More information
More information about the call for proposals with a programme description, guidelines and other relevant information can be found on the CSER-webpage.
About the CSER initiative
You can find more information about the CSER initiative, of which the call for tenure-track positions is part, on this webpage. In previous CSER calls 37 PhD projects for PhD students started in the area of computational sciences. The first 25 PhD students started in September 2013 at FOM with their research. This third call for PhD students is expected to open early 2014.
