View on new research
On 21 November FOM announced the granting of six new research programmes. FOM awarded in total 12 million Euro's.
The six programmes awarded funding are the winners in a heavy competition that started last spring with 22 proposals submitted for the Vrije FOM-programma's. The research groups will work in areas where Dutch physics has a superb international record and there is a clear scientific and societal interest. This varies from research to fundamental questions about the universe not being answered by the Standard Model to research about variability in behaviour of multi-cellular organisms.
In these Youtube movies the programme leaders shed a light on their research within this programme.
