The ERC Starting Grant gives researchers the opportunity to build up their own research group and to carry out ground breaking research. The grant can be up to 1.5 million euros in size.
In this round an ERC Starting Grant was awarded to 291 researchers and 32 of them are at Dutch universities.
The grants have been awarded in the framework of the 'excellent science' pillar of Horizon 2020, the European Union's programme for research and innovation.
