ERC Consolidator Grants awarded to Marijn van Huis and Gary Steele
Two former FOM PhD's, Marijn van Huis (UU) and Gary Steele (TUD), will receive a ERC Consolidator Grant from the European Research Council. Consolidator Grants are usually for around two million euros and are awarded to mid-career scientists.
With the grants they will be able to consolidate their research teams and to develop innovative ideas. Fysicists Jasper van der Gucht (WUR) and Lucia Nicola (TUD) are winner of an ERC Grant too. ERC awarded a total of €585 million to 302 European scientists.
