The Open Call HTSM2016 aims to encourage excellent fundamental and application-oriented research in the area of high-tech systems and materials in the Netherlands, in order to strengthen the Netherlands' competitive position in this area internationally. HTSM2016 is open to all project proposals which contribute to at least one of the 17 roadmaps of the top sector High Tech Systems and Materials (HTSM). These roadmaps are Advanced Instrumentation, Aeronautics, Automotive, Components and Circuits, Embedded Systems, Healthcare, High Tech Materials, IT, Lighting, Mechatronics / Manufacturing, Nanotechnology, Photonics, Printing, Security, Semiconductor Equipment, Solar and Space. Financing
The HTSM2016 budget amounts € 3.5 million euro of STW and € 1.9 million euro of the TKI-HTSM. This makes the total budget of € 5.4 million euro for HTSM2016. The maximum contribution per project is € 750.000 euro.

This program applies a co-financing requirement. The total co-financing should be at least 30% of the total project amount and financial co-financing at least 15 percent of the total required funding. For other conditions see call text.

Deadlines
The HTSM2016 Open Call opens on Friday, 4 March 2016. The submission deadline for research proposals is Tuesday, 31 May 2016 at 14:00 CET. An explanation of the project's fit within at least one of the 17 HTSM roadmaps must be submitted together with a draft project budget and a short description of the research proposal no later than five weeks (Tuesday, 28 April 2016 at 14:00 CET) prior to the closing date via ISAAC.
