First edition 'Computational Sciences for Future Energy Conference' held this week
On Tuesday 11 October 2016 the first edition of the 'Computational Sciences for future Energy Conference' will be held in Media Plaza (Jaarbeurs) in Utrecht. The conference will bring together the Dutch research community in computational science for energy applications. The conference is organized and sponsored by Shell, FOM and NWO.
For whom
The conference is particularly relevant for researchers participating in the Shell-NWO/FOM programme 'Computational Sciences for Energy Research' (CSER) and the Shell-NWO programmes 'CO2 Neutral Fuels' and 'Uncertainty Reduction in Smart Energy Systems' (URSES).
Programme
The plenary lectures of the conference will be given by leading scientists in the field of computational Science. The conference topics are: CO2 neutral fuels, computational chemistry, geosciences, multiphase flow, solar energy, URSES and wind energy. CSER PhD students will give oral and poster presentations. An award will be granted to the PhD student with the best poster presentation.
Evening session preceding the conference
Members of the CSER programme, coaches for PhD students from Shell, the keynote lecturers and members of the organizing and scientific committees are also invited for a dinner meeting on the Monday evening preceding the conference.
