Change NWO Vici procedure 2017
With effect from the next NWO Vici round the structure of the assessment will be changed. In the rounds from 2012 to 2016 the assessment of the Vici (pre)proposals was mainly realised via three domain committees and the last assessment step, the interview phase, was realised by a science-wide committee. With effect from 2017 the entire procedure, including the interviews, will be realised via five committees, four of which correspond with the domains of the new NWO.
The procedure will be realised via the following five committees:
- Exact and Natural Sciences (ENS; former EW, CW, ALW and N/FOM);
- Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH, former GW, and MaGW);
- Applied and Engineering Sciences (AES, former STW);
- Health Research and Medical Sciences (former ZonMw)
- and a cross-domain committee for proposals that extend across the boundaries of the NWO domains.
Procedure
The further design of the procedure will be based on the same steps as the current procedure (preproposal, full proposal and interview). At the end of January 2017 the Vici call for the 2017 round will be published with all relevant information.
