Snapshots

Snapshots of computer simulations illustrate the effects of the different ways in which katanin cuts and orders microtubule. The left part illustrates how the increasingly random way in which katanin cuts suppresses the structure. The right part illustrates how the structure improves as a result of selective cutting of the microtubule that lays on top of the crossing.
